With fantastic retro looks you’d be forgiven for thinking the Hughes and Kettner Statesman Dual EL34 is just an amp with standard features, but you’d be wrong. Like more reverb on the clean channel than on the dirty? No problem with the reverb balance control on the back panel. You’ll also find a second master volume on the back panel which can be switched in and out with the footswitch and can be set anywhere from cutting the volume by half to increasing it by one and a half times.

The effects loop can be switched between series and parallel with an optional -10db setting for instrument level effects.

Each channel has two modes – the clean channel has a British voicing until the Twang button is engaged which brings in a more Fender like sound. The Drive channel sports a Boost button which fattens the sound, adds more gain and is also footswitchable.

For more information, please see the manual.

Although this amp is used it is in excellent condition, with only slight signs of wear on the footswitch and an unmarked cover.

All in all a really versatile amp for many styles of rock, blues, country or wherever your music takes you…
